Di Suvero is my muse

One of the reasons I love San Fran so much is that you never know who you're going to meet. Today was the perfect example. We were checking out the big cranes taking down the Di Suvero exhibit on Chrissy Field when daddy mentioned one of the people on the crew looked a LOT like the artist himself, Mark Di Suvero. We immediately googled him and much to my excitement it was him!!! Dressed in red (which I think must be his signature color) with the white beard and broad smile!

I was so excited mom asked me if I wanted to go chat with Mr. Di Suvero!! I was really hesitant but finally decided that by the looks if him, this might be my last chance. Plus I love his sculptures in St Louis so much, I knew I'd regret it if I didn't take the leap!

So I did. I leaped out if the car and went straight over to say hi. He was so great! He jumped down on the grass to get eye level with me and couldn't have been more friendly! We chatted about art and St Louis a little, took a photo and then hugged goodbye. It was awesome!

My masterpieces from this school year!
