Faking Frolic in February (2017)

Morty  thinks my lips look like this?  At least hes smiling, right?

February is always this really weird month in my book/calendar. It's not the first month of the New Year, its short on days - most of the time, everyone starts to look pretty green from the lack of sunshine and vitamin D, outside activities are a NO go and Valentines Day is pretty much a forced holiday to keep people from hating one another while the bleak winter does it's thing.
This year, we mixed it up and decided we were going to make the most of it seeing it would be our last winter in St. Louis.

Mom was moving stuff around, getting ready to toss this or that and somehow a King mattress ended up in the guest bedroom/sitting room. Obviously this meant it was time to practice our stunt moves! Thanks Mom, game on! Between basketball, homework club, band practice and all the other running around I managed to capture Morty doing an illegal move ... don't tell the parents!

Can you feel the love? Lets be honest - us kids are only into Valentines Day for the candy.... actually I think that's why we are into any holiday they throw at us, am I right? Still, our Valentines turned out pretty cute. Now give me all your candy!
Ms. Cady was my Valentine this year - I think she is a sweetest!

Morty worked very hard on his Famous American project and we couldn't wait to see him present to the whole school!!

Good job Morty! Jesse Owens would have been so proud of you little buddy/enemy!

Like I said before, I am only into the holiday thing for the sugar so when someone told me that the school Gala was going with a Mardi Grass theme and there would be King Cakes for the taking - how could I say no?!! Even to the ridiculous dress up photos Mom insisted we all do.
Cheese - Wheres the cake woman?!

Speaking of the school Gala & Auction - Do you see this guy standing here next to me? He looks pretty normal, right? Well hes not. Secretly he is a designing master mind who made the dress I am wearing in this photo. Mom "won" the dress at the auction. Can you believe it??!! Will is amazing!

I still cant believe it! Did I tell you he made a matching necklace and a headband. I think I just might be the luckiest girl in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

While I calm down, I will be writing more for the Feb 2017 update so stay tuned!!
