He who must not be named

Soooooo after all of this election madness, we are really trying to focus on the good but we also need to be able to express our feelings to move forward and now is no exception. Mom says that talking through our fears is a way to confront them and move through your thought process. The problem is, our fears aren't going away through talking when a lot of responses to our questions are "i don't think so" or "probably not".

Hillary didn't win the election and that is hard to process as a girl on its own, but for HIM (and we shall refer to him as "He who must not be named" hence forth) has brought up a lot of fears that we didn't really believe we would have to deal with. We ask a lot of questions about a possible wall being put up between the USA and Mexico, we ask if our friends who are from other countries will have to go back or if they can ever go back and visit their friends and families, we ask if being different will get people in trouble. I know my parents are putting on a good face but they seem uneasy and a bit sad and I know my parents aren't aren't the only ones who seems as though they are mourning.

Mom and Dad say that everything will be alright and we will just work harder to protect the people we love, the friend's we cherish and for the rights of others in need. We agreed that we would would have done this no matter what the outcome of the election was, now we will just have to build a stronger community of others with the same ideals, morals and values to work together.

I like the idea that we are not powerless when we have good intentions for the greater good. Hillary set a great example of never giving up when the times were tough and I know we can do the same. Three cheers for Nasty Women who persevere!

(hopefully Morty will come out of his funk soon)
