Georgia's on my mind !

Georgia

At our school every 2nd grader has to do a LOOOOOONNNGG report on a state they have never visited. Every one of our specials classes, accept French and PE, gets involved to help us put the report together. I chose Georgia! For months I learned all I could about Georgia and its very rich history. Did you know that's where Dr. Martin Luther King is from? The state crop is peanuts? Its home to Coca-Cola? There was soooo much to learn and Dad, being as awesome as he is,  clearly recognized this as an opportunity to take our first ever Father-Daughter solo trip to see Atlanta, Georgia together!

Dad is an incredible tour guide and he planned everything well in advance for our short trip. We did it all and even had time to visit The Georgia Aquarium too!

We took the cable car up to Stone Mountain!

We visited the Capital Building

I "hung out" with our 39th President, Jimmy Carter, who was also from Georgia.

and of course we had to visit all thins DR. Martin Luther King, the historical site, his childhood home, his burial site. It was all very cool.

and of course we cannot forget the really silly/fun parts of the trips too - like visiting the World of Coca-Cola (where all the forbidden drinks come from!) I had my first sip of Coca-Cola and I can't stop talking about it!

and last but not least! The Gum Pole at Stone Mountain. Its totally gross but also SUPER cool in an artsy sort of way.

Id say it was HUGE success overall and it was really fun to hang with just my Dad too (no Morty ; )
