2026 in a nutshell

How did we get here?

Now halfway through 2026...

Mallory turned 19, graduated high school, survived her final season in high school lacrosse as captain and is now packing for college. She is still loving all things art and has even taken to hoarding all types of magazines, records and s myriad of mediums for her collages. Art history seems to be her intended path so far - time will tell if that sticks. She really put everything she had into the college application process and I'm thrilled to say we all survived!!

In the last year Morty has also had some major milestones. He passed his drivers license test, and quickly jumped ship from Mallory's carpool for some morning peace. He survived his second season of football (I can't believe he is still playing) and took off a season of lacrosse after getting a concussion while playing/departing golf, As I type this, he an his adventurous friend Cal are working for 2 months in Maine at a camp as assistants with all sorts of tasks being thrown their way.

Cheese, Piggie & Kermit are keeping up with their jobs of creating dog fur tumble weeds in the house and Kermit has yet to understand when enough is enough when it comes to ball time but we love them endlessly anyhow. Kitty G still thinks he is one of the dogs, except for when it comes to demanding to be held or using Matt as his evening heating pad. He and Morty have a troubled relationship at times due to "too much meowing and cat hair" but over all the love fest continues.

Soooooo much more is happening in the day to day of course and we are staying sane & happy with the help of our very involved friends and family - so thankful for all of you who have stuck with us. We love you!
