Buddies

One of my all time favorite things about my school is that we are designated a "Buddy" as soon as we enter PreK. The best part about our buddies is that they are upper classman. Its pretty fabulous to have the older kids in the school come running to give you hugs in the hallway, read with you, help you clean up your lunch and have an hour with them every Wednesday to work on special projects. 

Jaclyn is my buddy and I think of her as my older sister ill never have. The sad part is that when you get a buddy they are already in 4th grade so you only get to coast off their upper classman status for three years and then they are off to big kid school. This year is my final year with Jaclyn : ( ill miss her so much!!

But..... Mr morty is finally at my school so he has his new buddy too! He and Matt (great name, right?!) love to hang and run in the halls to give each other hugs too! Matt even hung out with us at school Zoo night. 

Maybe he will let me coast off his coolness too?!
