Gold medalist!?!?

I'm finally off the wait list at the highly touted local gymnastics center and I have to be honest, I think I want to go back on the wait list! Becoming a world renowned gymnast is much harder than I envisioned!!
I was sure than once I slipped on that sparkly leotard I would be doing back hand-springs everywhere I went but I'm sad to say it didn't happen and what's worse!? They want me exercise on top of a balance beam that's as tall as me - don't they know that's dangerous? Hasn't every mom in America been beating it into their kids to stop goofing around on high surfaces?!!
I haven't given up, although I desperately want to at times! The gym smells like sweaty feet, its hot and everyone is constantly showing off their advanced moves.
The only silver lining, aside from the shiny tight outfits with matching scrunchies, is that you get a shiny medal even if you do a mediocre job at the meets! I guess I'll hang in there for a little while longer, even if only to add to my necklace collection.
