After all the worrying, training, mom shaking her head and more worrying he totally rocked the IRONMAN in Idaho yesterday!!
We are all super proud of him and Aunt Marfa was such a great sportscaster we want to share the journey with you!
It started off ridiculously early (like 3:45am!) because much like me, Dad doesn't know how to shut of his super powerful brain. I take 2 hours to fall asleep at night and Dad wakes up at 3am. Below will help you set the scene in your mind too... This something called Transition, whatever that means but it looks daunting, no?
Mom says Dad swims like a "super fast sea lion", must be from swimming in the SF Bay and he is in this beige blur... somewhere!
Next Uncle Tikey caught a glimpse of him before he sped off in his neato blue bike ... which he never lets me ride!
Then came Daddy's most dreaded part of the race... The Run! As Dad would say he "put one foot in front of the other" for something silly like 26 miles BUT in the end it was all worth it to get the FINISH!
Morty and I now have an IRONMAN Dad!
