Train Town Rocks ... even when its freezing!

Even though the previous days events were a little uneasy for both Drayson and I, we decided to brush it all off and try to stay with the planned events for the rest of the trip. We were both psyched about Train Town and even though it was drizzling we thought - why not!?

Obviously, the first activity was to to ride the train! Sure, it was a little awkward sitting so close but we fought through.

The conductor of the train decided to make a pit stop in the middle of the park, which at first we weren't so sure about seeing it was super duper cold but then after we saw what was waiting for us, we couldn't get out of the train car fast enough!

Mom kept calling this one "sheepy" but I KNOW for sure that this is nothing like MY Sheepy!

After our train ride we begged our parents to stay in the park a little longer so we could ride other neat rides and sure enough - they caved in. Mom & Dad even indulged a little too - yee ha!

All in all it was good times and a very memorable way to start out a New Year!
Happy 2009!

First sleep over with a BOY!

Im fairly certain that my parents have lost theirs minds.
Get this! - they have organized a sleep over for Drayson and I - in the same house!?! in romanic Sonoma Wine Country!
Granted Dad says that we have to keep the door open to our room when we are in there together,
but thats easy to get around - right? It will be New Year's Eve and they will be sloshed - party for us!

So first things first, we had the parents make us some yummy bites so we could party the night away all energized!

Then we went to go hang out in the family room with Elmo, it was really nice in the beginning but then Drayson got out his doctor bag and told me i needed a check up.

I tried to explain to him that I was healthy and had already had my check up but he was persistent so I had to get Mom to help step in.

The final straw of the evening was when I was quietly watching Ernie on Dad's laptop when Drayson came in with all his clothes off to sit next to me. He said something about not trying to get fresh with me but still... I dont think I am ready for that step just yet! Step off!

Out of the cold and ino the rain...

The day we went home was...weird. The day we arrived here it was so cold mom and dad nearly froze to death trying to put my chair into the car. The windchill was 10 below and it was blowing like crazy! However, the day we flew out the temperature was in the mid-60s and there were tornado watches. So, what did I do? Well, when they told me about the tornado warnings, I ran for the safety of a table and hunkered down!

But, in spite of the impending bad weather, we took off on time and I flew like a champ. Munching on goodies most of the way, it was probably my best flight since I was 6 months old!

But, when we arrived home, I was tired! So, in order to focus on my candy better, I had to sit down while we waited for my bags to arrive.

Thankfully, it was a large lollipop because the bags took FOREVER!

Once we got home, it was time for bath and bed. So, while mom got my bath ready, I played with my Christmas etch-a-sketch....good stuff!

My etch-a-sketch and I go everywhere....but perhaps there are some places a camera does not need to go? Seriously! How's a girl supposed to use her toilet when you never leave me alone?!

So, into the bath we went. As mom tried to scrub the stink off me, I did my best to chew Big Bird's head off....no luck either way....the head remained attached and my stink did as well...sigh.

Seriously, smell these....you call that clean? Perhaps we should just give up and go to bed, I'm beat.

One last family outting.....

When I first arrived on scene, I put down my newest bag and baby and quickly took inventory of the situation. You see, it appeared that there was no one in charge and that things were not progressing at a speed that was going to get me fed and to bed anytime soon...so I took over.

First thing I did was I started handing out presents. You can tell from dad's positioning and total lack of attention to what I'm doing, that he is totally useless. So, I continued to run the show.

As dad continued to look clueless and confused, I was forced to continue to step up and hand out more presents to those around me. And for the last time people, I don't care if your name is on it or not, just say thank you and open the damn thing!

Finally, after a lot of hard present distribution, cousin Lelia and I looked for something fun to do.

So, what did we do? Well, we rolled around on the floor and forced dad to smell our feet! HA!

Take that old man!

Phew! After a hard evening of handing our presents and antagonizing my father, it was time to sit down, kick up my feet and have a cookie and an apple....Lord knows I've earned them!

Chooooo Chooooo!

So, while we were visiting for the holidays, dad said that if I was good and didn't scream and yell and he and mom, he had a big surprise for me....ok, I'll play along for now.

Really? REALLY? Sure, I agree to play along, but mittens and a leopard print beret?

Dear God this is demeaning, this had better be the best surprise ever or I'm going to scream like you've never heard!

What is this? I see candy houses and I hear something coming....

Holy Crap! It's a choo-choo! Awesome! I love it...but if you ever make me wear that hat again, I'll kill you where you stand.

More Family Events....

So, Christmas night we headed over to dad's brother's house for some more....PRESENTS!!! Or so I had been lead to believe, but more about that later. First cousin Leila and I started off the evening by playing in her new pizza shop. She served dad some coffee in his little metal mug and I repeatedly walked in and out of the door, that's good times people!

Finally, we sat down to dinner where I was forced to sit by grandpa who lectured me on proper table manners....seriously, are we going to eat soon?

I mean, after I discovered that the space under the tree designed to hold presents for me was empty, there was only one thing that I had left to look forward to...the food! So, what's the deal? Do we eat around here or just talk about it?

Then cousin Leila and aunt Sheshe were nice enough to tell me the secret for getting food...you have to act like you are having a great time! Apparently, all you have to do is smile and someone will bring you food...or so I've been told. Well, being that I'm starving and running out of options, guess I'll have to give it a shot.

Ok....Food me!

Tosser!

Sure, we spend a lot of time in hotels when we travel, especially when the temperature outside is frightful, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun! So, what do I define as fun? Well, dad and I invented a little game we like to call "Mallory Toss" and I am 110% all about it!  You only get to see one toss, but after I recover, he drags me back down to the end of the bed by my paws and we do it all over again, and again, and again...until finally I feel a bit like I want to vomit...then we rest.  Awesome!
