Let's get this mess cleaned up!

As I talked about the other day, mom and dad had some construction done around the house, then dad did a bit of it himself...needless to say, there is a mess and someone has to clean it up....let's get cracking on this people!
How the hell does this thing work? I've seen you use it to suck up the copious amounts of dog hair, but one of you two needs to get off your ass and come give me some direction!

What the hell are you waiting for?! Does it look like I know what I'm doing? What does this attachment do anyway?
