Brain Damage

So the hounds and I were out for a walk earlier today - nothing unusual about that - but today's walk was made especially memorial by Big Brown Dog. Usually when Brown Dog sees about dog, his hackles stand up, he starts to prance around, sticks out his chest, and barks at them. Brown Dog is actually very friendly. He's just scared of his own gas and to compensate for being a scardy-cat, he puts on a big show to strangers about how tough he is.
Anyway, as I stated, on today's walk there were a few complications. As Max, Brown Dog, mom, dad and I were walking down the street, a golden retriever had the audacity to be walking the other way. Seeing this other dog near his people (or just near him) Brown Dog went into full effect. Due to the fact that Brown Dog was so busy - what the kids call mean mugging - he didn't see the sign poll that he ran smashing into with a tremendous crash....needless to say it got his attention. Luckily, I think it surprised him more than it hurt him.

As I said, my brother Brown Dog recovered from his start and was able to continue on his walk with no harm done....however, mom, dad and I nearly had to take a knee to stop laughing at him, but we recovered and continued as well.

Max on the other hand was so embarrassed he had to take a personal moment to compose himself. During his moment, Max suggested that perhaps Brown Dog was not a "real" lab, but rather the product of heavily excessive inbreeding.
