Little Baby in the Fish Bowl

While many a famous songs have sought to inform the listener that it never rains in Southern California, no one has ever bothered to tell you another interesting/sad fact about California….all winter long it never stops raining in Northern California. My Uncle and Aunt got my dad an umbrella for Christmas that flashes when it’s going to rain, an attempt to remind my dad to take the umbrella with him. Dad logged into the site and programmed it about 3 weeks ago or so, and you know what? It has not stopped flashing since. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the umbrella, it’s been 100% right, its just been raining for as long as I can remember.
So, now that we’ve established that it rains every day, picture the rain….coming down, blowing sideways, even when its actually sunny the rain still comes, and cold as the dickens! Does this stop mom and/or dad from dragging me out on a walk? No….they just put this clear plastic shell over the stroller…hell, might as well wrap a plastic bag over my head! Not only is it hot, stuffy and humid – at times I worry that I’m going to start my own atmosphere in there and its going to start to rain inside my shell – but I feel like the little boy in the bubble! I’m riding around town in a fish bowl….like a freak at the zoo….awesome.
I’m not quite sure who to talk to about this, and its clearly not mom or dad, but can someone please turn the rain off? I need to get out of my bubble…the gas is killing me!
