Rail Trail love

With the weather being soooo nice and Morty not having to nap anymore, we've been taking advantage of more things St Louis has to offer.

Recently, mom decided to take us out for a long scoot on the Greenway or Rail Trail and it was soooooo awesome! It's a long sidewalk with beautiful wild flowers and no cars to worry about!

Now this rail trail isn't completely out in the middle of no where, it runs straight through so many great places in the city and it even passes by Maggie Moo's Ice Cream!!!!!!

Last week, we not only got mortys hair cut halfway through the trip but ice cream too. Mom said we earned it with the heat and our right legs needed a rest.

Sooooo much fun!!

1st day of school 2014

Okay - I didn't want to overshadow morty's birthday post but I must tell you it wasn't just mortys birthday, it was the first day of school too!! Luckily Morty took it in stride and didn't freak out at all (shocker!)

Mom is suuuuuuuuupwr stocked school is back in session - a little too stoked in my mind but nothing a sneaky little comment to make her feel guilty won't fix ; )

The end of summer 2014

By the end of our long stay we had done quite a bit and none of us wanted to go but we had to leave some stuff for next year, plus the others were beginning to depart back to The Lou and school was only days away. It was so much fun!!

We played

We were cheesie for the camera

We snuggled

We protected ourselves from the harsh rays.

We made ice cream from scratch.

We made a beach bunk bed.

We navigated a flying fish through the house.

We ate onion rings at Nauset Beach.

We discovered new shells on walks with Aunt Martha.

We grew, we walked, we threw bricks.

... And the we were delayed 6 hours getting home but all in all it was my favorite summer yet!

Morty is a whole hand!! 5!!

I can't believe it but Morty is actually 5! Thank goodness he hasn't caught up to me yet but he's getting so close!!

Morty had a grand plan for his birthday, it included a fire truck birthday cake (check!) a Playmobile Train (check!) a playmobile firehouse (check!) and no guests (check!)

Morty isn't the most social little dude but we don't hold it against him, in fact mom and I don't mind at all ... It just means more cake for us!

It was yet another EPIC birthday!
Happy birthday Mo!
