Waaaaterrrrrr!

So close to the water....and yet whenever I get closer, mom pounces on me like a cougar taking out a hiker in LA....I'll get there eventually! But, in the mean time, I just like to scream WAAAATTTEEEERRRR and make sure mom knows where it is.

Well, at least she does help me walk along the big rocks around the water pond thing. It's fun, the rocks are HUGE, but I handle them with the expected grace and dexterity.

Sometimes, mom even let's me mount a few of these huge boulders on my own....not often, but sometimes she does let me climb a little....

And do I enjoy these quality rock climbing times with mom? You betcha!

I'm a Southern Belle!

So, because we don't really live near any of our extended family, occasionally mom will take me from room to room looking at pictures and reminding me of who everyone is, have to stay sharp you know. Today we focused on my dad's brother and sister-in-law. Well, we tried to anyway....you see, I've become to enthralled by my uncle's name - Tikey - that I just love to say it! Not only do I love to say it, but I love to say it with a southern draw. Mom tried over and over again to get me to say Aunt Shereen's name - She-She to me - but I couldn't do it. I just love saying Tiiiiikeeee!

Because mom is a patient person...she suggested we go for take 2.....not so much. But at least Doggy Max had fun with Doggy Moose's birthday toy...Doggy Moose just turned 5!

Meet my new homie.

Everyone, this is Lindsay. Lindsay, say hello. As you might recall, I used to spend a couple of days a week with Annie...well, Annie has moved on to bigger and better things, and my new BFF Lindsay was nice enough to come spend a couple days a week with me. As you'll notice below, she is doing a great job of holding my cream cheese! Actually, I call it "dip-dip." In fact, I call anything I can dip into dip-dip. Now, you ask, why do I need someone to help me with my pretzel dipping? Well...

You see, without a steady hand to hold my cheese, things can get a little messy.

You'll notice that while I'm pretty good at loading up the dipper, I'm not so good about keeping the dipped material off my face, hands, shirt, tray, etc., etc., etc.

So, on my own, it's a mess, but with help from Lindsay, I'm a new girl: one with manners!

It's raining...rain....again

So, why you ask are there so many people at the science museum today? Why have mom and I come out of the house to fight this crowd? Well, we are SICK of being stuck in the house as it rains more and more and more! Hell, the only thing more depressing is watching the stock market...ug.

Anyway, today mom and I had enough and we decided to go check out some caged sea-going animals. I'm a big fan of these skate things. I like to call them birdies and chirp at them...mom keeps trying to correct me.

Dude....LOOK AT THEM! They are birds, now zip the lip and let's move on.
Penguins are awesome! Next time you see me, ask me how they walk, I've got the bird's strut down!

Awww....what a cute little fish! I wonder what it eats?

Ahhhh!!!! I thought it would get smaller once we got closer! Dear god, hide me, I'm too young to die!

Boots!

So, today we had another pause in the rain....I guess it's rainy season here in the Amazon. Anyway, it was dry in the sky, but wet on the ground, so we booted up and headed out for some much needed fresh, non-dog stink air!

Let me pause here to pose for you so you can enjoy my boots....they're awesome! Lady bug boots with raised eyes which I can pet and say - EYE! As in eye eye captain!

My boots not only walk real pretty on the sidewalk and in puddles, but they also do a great job when we go off-roading in the local planters!

We can stomp, and jump, or stroll though the roughage and my feet stay dry!

Oops, let's not forget to give a little shut out, cool-guy head nod, and a finger point to all the little people out there who made this happen...you there, nice work!

Such the Artist!

Since I think that we have already shown my prowess in the studio, I thought today I'd branch out a little bit and show you that I can also jam like a bad donkey! So, if you'll wait one minute while I tune up this little xylophone (learned that word on Sesame Street FYI), I'll soon be ready to play!

Ok people, gather round and prepare to be amazed. Don't be shy, come one, come all!
Ohhhhhhh....who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! Absorbent and yellow and porous is he! SpongeBob SquarePants! If nautical nonsense be something you wish... SpongeBob SquarePants! Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish! HA! Thank you! Good night!

WHAT?!!

Whew....another hard day in the studio is finally over....man this painting is hard work!

Listen you jerk, I don't know what you are laughing at, have you seen your face?! Yes, I know I have a bit of paint on my face, but that's because I've been working very hard at my art....where is your art there superstar? Huh? Yea, didn't think so...meany. Put me down! I don't like you any more.

Make fun of me....I'll show you....don't need no stupid parents.

I don't need nothing...just going to sit here and play all by myself....ok....I'm done here, I'd like to go pout in the bath.

Look, just because I'm making nice, doesn't mean that I like you again! Now, toss me another toy and finish washing this paint off me before I decide to poop in the bath!
